Simple Minds
Simple Minds
Simple Minds have been musical pioneers for 40 glittering years.
Catching the mood of the post-punk era, when the angry sounds of 1977 were splintering into a thousand different shapes, they emerged with a style rooted in the art-rock of David Bowie and the electronic dance of Donna Summer. They went on to become one of the great bands of their generation, deploying rousing choruses and booming atmospherics to provide a soundtrack that has endured.
Simple Minds topped the American chart with ‘Don't You (Forget About Me)’ and followed suit in the UK with ‘Ballad of the Streets’.
In selling over 60 million records, they have seen three of their 20 studio albums reach number one in the UK – ‘Sparkle in the Rain’, ‘Once Upon A Time’ and ‘Street Fighting Years’ – a chart-topping feat equalled by their live album ‘Live In The City Of Light’ and the compilation 'Glittering Prize'. A spellbinding touring band, they have graced the world's biggest stadiums.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD)
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD)
Over the course of four decades, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) have sold an astonishing 25 million singles and 15 million albums which have established them as electronic synthesiser pioneers and one of Britain’s best-loved pop groups.
Their 13 long players include soon-to-be-reissued benchmark-raising classics ‘Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark’ (1980), ‘Organisation’ (1980), ‘Architecture & Morality’ (1981) and ‘Dazzle Ships’ (1983). Three more since their reactivation 12 years ago have culminated in 2017’s ‘The Punishment of Luxury’, which was hailed by fans and critics alike as a return to the shimmering brilliance of classic early singles such as nuclear lament ‘Enola Gay’ and the plangent ‘Souvenir’.

Eurogliders
Eurogliders
The Eurogliders story began in 1981, in Perth. Within a decade of forming, Eurogliders had recorded four albums, enjoyed a multitude of chart-topping singles and been awarded a swag of awards from around the globe, for both music and video. But Eurogliders truly began as a love story between a songwriter and a singer, both of whom had their own bands.
Today, some 25 years later, the relationship between that singer and that songwriter may have changed but the love of performing and their long enduring friendship continues every night on stage.
With Grace Knight, the 'manic ballerina', and Bernie Lynch on vocals and guitar, their performances were a rallying cry of anthems that audiences sung along with till their lungs were bursting. Songs like 'Heaven', 'We Will Together', 'Can't Wait To See You', 'Absolutely' and 'The City of Soul' became the songs of a young Australian generation. Life was a long dizzying ride to the top of the charts and ten Top Ten charting singles and albums were the result.
