Brad Mellen - Managing Director
Brad Mellen's history in sporting event management, entertainment promotion combined with his comprehensive knowledge of Australian and International Markets formed the base of Mellen Events. Brad's experience ranges from event management of the World Swimming and Olympic Qualifying Water Polo Championships at the Perth Superdome, a senior executive role at IFC (International Facilities Corporation), management of the 6,000 seat Newcastle Entertainment Centre, and as CEO of the Newcastle Knights and Perth Western Reds National Rugby League Teams.

Ali McLean - Event Manager
She speaks Japanese, likes her rock and has been involved in organising and promoting live music concerts and festival for years, including almost all major music festivals in WA, like Big Day Out, Soundwave, Southbound, West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots and now Summadayze, Future Music Festival, Global Gathering... the list goes on. In her adventures, Ali has met lots of celebs, but most exciting was meeting Muse, who walked into a bar she happened to be in in Osaka, Japan! They had heaps of fun drinking sake and choosing Rage Against the Machine video clips to play late into the night... As an event manager at Mellen, Ali helps create our events, dealing with things like layout and infrastructure of the venue and coordinating facilities and people on site.

Darcy Murphy - Ticketing Manager
Roll Up! Roll Up! Get your tickets here - Darcy is responsible for the ticketing to our events. Without her, we would have shows but no audience... She also tracks the number of people coming to our events and is our superhero against scalpers! So far, Darcy’s favourite Mellen moment was at Leonard Cohen’s performance at Sandalford. It was bound to be an amazing gig, but what was most breathtaking was the crowd of twelve thousand sitting in silent awe. As you can imagine, quite a spooky and amazing experience.

Felicity Fawcett - Event Coordinator
Felicity Fawcett is a stylish addition to the Mellen Team, our resident fashionista! She comes from a background in fashion buying but it was her passion for music that led her to Mellen. As our event coordinator, she takes part in anything and everything but in particular, she oversees our backstage areas and looks after artists on event days and also assists our event managers, to make their lives a little easier...

Harvey Rae - Marketing and Programming Manager
Harvey’s worked pretty much everywhere in the music industry, from a five year stint in events and marketing at WAM (the West Australian Music Industry Association) and Artrage, to running his own label and promotions business Sensei, to writing as a journalist for The Wire (The West Australian music liftout) and presenting Drivetime, on RTRFM 92.1 every Thursday between 5 and 7pm. He’s even an award-winning songwriter and musician. But coordinating the marketing and programming for the major annual festivals at Mellen Events is his main passion, and with one of the widest musical palettes you’re likely to come across, it’s little wonder Harvey’s in his element.

Nicole Bignold - Receptionist
Nicole is the bubbly face you see when you walk up the stairs, sitting next to Eugene, our resident watermelon mascot! The youngest member of the team, and relatively new, she brings lots of enthusiasm to her role on reception and assisting the other staff in the event season madness. Her passion for music is pretty obvious - Nicole loves cruising down the coast on her pushie listening to some tunes on a hot summer day and as soon as she hit her teens started going to gigs. It was only natural she‘d start working in music too!

Rachel Kemp - Event Manager
Rachel has a crazy passion for large scale event management and worked on City to Surf for five years, then got into music festivals for a few years such as Southbound, West Coast Blues ’n‘ Roots, Stereosonic and St Jerome‘s Laneway Festival, and before joining the Mellen team in December 2009 had a stint at Perth Fashion Festival. Working on her first Mellen show recently, Summadayze, was a real blast for her as she loves The Presets! Rachel also loves cricket, footy and the beach! As a new Event Manager to the Mellen team, Rachel looks forward to working towards ensuring our events run smoothly from start to finish!

Shannon Fox - Communications Coordinator
Fox‘s love for music sees her hop behind the mic once a week for Drivetime on RTR FM 92.1, as well as behind the 1‘s and 2‘s for various DJ sets all over town and she even occasionally picks up a pen for Drum Media. So, it was only natural that she joined the Mellen team in a communications role, so she could bend even more people‘s ears about music! She spreads the word about our events online and on the street, with a great team of volunteers.
